Rye City Schools Propose $89,930,075 Budget
The school administration hopes to add teachers and more teachers and a psychologist.

RYE, NYβRye City Schools Interim Superintendent Brian Monahan has proposed an $86,930,075 budget for the 2017-18 school year. The budget is only a 2.19 percent change from the 2016-17 budget and is within the tax cap levy.
The preliminary budget includes funds for hiring more teachers, meeting enrollment increases, maintaining class size, hiring a school psychologist and an occupational therapist.
Aspects of the budget will be discussed at upcoming meetings. The next budget hearing is March 21 with the budget adoption date set for April 18. A budget hearing will be held on May 2 with the vote planned for May 16.
