The Rye Free Reading Room will celebrate the 100th birthday of its building this September with a party on the Village Green.
The program will feature music, a petting zoo, face painters and a balloon artist. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 21 the Village Green.
The Rye City Council approved the use of the Village Green at a meeting this month.
