Rye Officers Back to Work After Carbon Monoxide Exposure

Two Rye police officers who were treated at the hospital after being exposed to carbon monoxide yesterday are fine and back on the job today, Police Commissioner William Connors said.

Β Sergeant Michael Anfuso and Police Officer Jason Washco were treated for carbon monoxide exposure after they rescued a man from a Hunter Lane home around 9 a.m. Sunday. The 50-year-old man had been sleeping in a room above a garage where his father had accidently left the car running since 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

The son was transferred to Jacobi Medical Center and police did not have an update on the parents conditions, Connors said.
