Village Board Waives Sandy Related Fees UntilΒ October 31, 2013Β The Village of Rye Brook Board of Trustees passed a resolution to extend the waiver of the following permit and applications feesΒ in connection with restoration, clean-up and reconstruction work resulting from Hurricane Sandy untilΒ October 31, 2013:Β
- All Building Permit Fees
- All Certificate of Occupancy Fees
- All Demolition Permit Fees
- All Electrical Permit Fees
- All Plumbing Permit Fees
- All Fence & Wall Permit Fees
Building Permit Amnesty Program ExpiringΒ May 31stΒ
The Building Permit Amnesty Program will remain in effect untilΒ May 31, 2013. This Amnesty Program waves the Administrative Fine for work completed without the proper permits, and in most cases also waives the need to go to the Board of Architectural Review. Ridge Street Bridge Closure Over I-287 fromΒ June 5 through August 16Β
The first stage of this NYS Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) project construction effort began on May 6th.Β The bridge carrying Ridge Street over I-287 in the Village of Rye Brook will be closed to traffic fromΒ Wednesday, June 5 through August 16, 2013.Β A signed detour will direct Ridge Street traffic onto Purchase Street (Route 120) and Westchester Avenue (Rte 120A) for the duration of the closure. Prior to the Ridge Street bridge closure, nighttime lane closures on I-287 will occur to prepare the site.Β This nighttime work will not impact Ridge Street.Β All construction is expected to be completed byΒ September 4th.Β The following weekly progress report has been provided to the village by the NYSDOT:Β
