School Pick Up Creating Unsafe Conditions, Police Report

Cars on Sidewalk

Parents were parked on the sidewalk on the northbound side of US 1 by the high school football field waiting to pick up their students from sports creating an unsafe road condition on April 12 around 7 p.m.. Police told coaches this is unsafe and they said they’d pass the message on to parents.

Hazardous Condition

A caller reported a hazardous condition due to cars parked for pick up at the Osborn School on April 16 at 3:11 p.m. Police did not see any traffic condition there.

Garbage Thrown Into Car

A Rye resident reported that someone she knows threw garbage into her vehicle and left the scene on Wappanocca Avenue.
