[VIDEO] Seniors Honor 9/11 Victims with Song
The Rye Brook seniors sang American songs to remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001.
Dozens of Rye Brook seniors sang America's praises together to remember and honor those lost on Sept. 11, 2001 and those who risked their lives to help others during that tragic time.
"This is a remembrance for those we loved and lost. For as long as we live we will remember," said Rye Brook Village DeputyΒ Clerk and Senior Coordinator Liz Rotfeld, who organized and led the event held at theΒ
Rotfeld also noted how citizens will always recall where they were, who they were with when they learned of the terrorist attacks 11 years ago. The event was also held to remember and recognize those who survived and who helped with the clean up and are now suffering, Rotfeld said.Β

Rye Brook Village Adminstrator Chris Bradbury, Police Chief Gregory J. Austin, veteran Domenic Verrastro and Rye Brook, Rye and Port Chester EMS Director Scott Moore, lit candles in honor of the victims of 9/11 to start off the afternoon ceremony.
