The Lysander Piano Trio, praised for their radiant sound and deeply expressive interpretations, has performed on celebrated stages throughout the US and internationally and earned top honors in some of the most prestigious chamber music competitions. Early in their career, they won the Grand Prize of the Coleman Chamber Ensemble Competition, First Prize in the J. C. Arriaga Chamber Music Competition, and the Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition. They also captured awards at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. The Lysander Piano Trio, whose name is inspired by the character in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night’s Dream, was formed at The Juilliard School. The Trio studied with Ronald Copes of the Juilliard String Quartet, the late Joseph Kalichstein, and Seymour Lipkin.
"We are thrilled to have The Lysander Piano Trio playing again for the Westchester Chamber Music Society as part of our 75th season. The members are exceptional performers, talented musical storytellers, and committed educators," said Shelley Lotter, President of WCMS.
