World's Largest Rubber Duck Floating Back To Playland Beach Again
Get ready for a photo op with the 61-foot-high "Mama Duck" and her 10-foot-high "Baby Duckling" splashing down in Rye soon.

RYE, NY — The world's largest bath toy is making its way back to Playland beach to the delight of summer sunbathers.
Playland in Rye has announced the "Duck Days of Summer" are on the way.
After making a huge splash in Westchester County last year, The World’s Largest Rubber Duck is set to make a triumphant return to Playland for the weekend of Aug. 16. The 61-foot-high "Mama Duck" and her 10-foot-high baby duckling, "Timmy," will come ashore at Playland’s Beach as beachgoers enjoy the final weeks of summer vacation.

Last year, the "big" attraction drew thousands of visitors, who took the opportunity to take countless selfies with the famous, six-story tall spectacle.
"We are thrilled to feature the Big Duck for our 2nd Annual Duck Days of Summer at Rye Beach. Mama Duck brings her oversized love and joy around the world, and we are excited to have her swim up the Long Island Sound to Playland," Playland chief Evonne Keeler said. "All weekend, we will feature fun games, give-a-ways, photo ops, fireworks, and live music."

Mama Duck and Timmy will arrive from Ohio prior to their appearance at Playland and will then head off to Tulsa, Oklahoma, following the visit to Rye.
In addition to the buoyant fun of The World’s Largest Rubber Duck, Playland is hosting a few new summer events to keep the party going.
The iconic Dragon Coaster just celebrated its 95th birthday with a new crowd-sourced art project. Outdoor summer concerts presented by The Capitol Theatre are on tap all summer long and firework displays happen every Friday and Saturday evening.
New this year, a historic ferry tour led by historian Barbara Davis showcasing the cultural legacy of the Westchester waterfront will depart from the Westchester fun park on the Long Island Sound.
