When: Sunday, May 1, 2011
Registration/check-in & pre-walk festivities: 8:30 a.m.- 9:45 a.m.
Walk/Run kick-off time: 10 a.m.
Rain or shine
What: It is approximately a three mile walk through the neighborhood
surrounding SJC’s Long Island campus.
Run is adjusted accordingly to clock at 5K.
Where: Finish line and all pre and post walk activities will be in the John A.
Danzi Athletic Center, located off exit 52 of Sunrise Highway,
along the service road in Patchogue.
Why: The purpose of the event is to raise money for The Rose Brucia
Educational Foundation, which educates children about the danger
posed by strangers. Funds also go to the Alumni Association for
ongoing support of St. Joseph’s College and to continue funding
the Thomas J. Wendt ’88 Alumni Scholarship.
