Long Islander dies when pickup hits curb and flips
He was driving north when his pickup truck hit a curb.
RONKONKOMA, NY — A man died in a crash on Smithtown Avenue Thursday evening, Suffolk County police said.
Adelino Santiago was northbound in his 1996 Ford pickup truck in Ronkonkoma, police said. At 6:44 p.m. he was near MacArthur Airport when the F-350 truck struck a curb and flipped several times.
The 56-year-old Bay Shore resident was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner, police said.
