HOLBROOK

A fire broke out inside of a vehicle in Holbrook on Thursday night, police said.
The fire started in the vehicle, which was unoccupied in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Broadway, at around 7:16 p.m., according to police.

No one was hurt.
MOUNT SINAI
A 47-year-old Terryville man was issued a violation after he was caught inhaling nitrous oxide in a parking lot on March 14, police said. He was charged with public appearance under the influence of a narcotic or drug. Further details were not available.
PATCHOGUE
A man was stabbed by an acquaintance during in an argument with an acquaintance on Main Street in Patchogue on March 10, police said.
He suffered a non-life-threatening injury and was taken to NYU Langone Hospital in East Patchogue for treatment.
No charges were filed.
SELDEN
A Selden man was arrested March 13 after police say he swiped two Dyson vacuums from Target in Commack back in January.
Jaydin Shuck, 19, had been previously ordered to stay away from the store, but returned to take the items on Jan. 12, according to police. He was charged with second-degree burglary and fourth-degree grand larceny.
His bail was set at $1, online court records show.
SHIRLEY
A Shirley resident reported that three imitation watches — two Rolex copies, and an Armitron copy — were swiped from their home on Adobe Drive at around 5:30 p.m. on March 10, police said. The burglar gained access by forcing their way inside the back door of the home while no one was home, according to police.
