Elementary School Students Attend Anti-Bullying Program

Holbrook, NY — Grundy Avenue Elementary School fourth and fifth graders recently attended an anti-bullying program called Steer Clear of Bullies. The two day long program was presented to the Sachem Central School District by Child Abuse Prevention Services, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing bullying and child abuse.

The program encouraged the students to review the types of feelings and actions associated with bullying. Strategies to copy with cyberbullying were also taught. Students were reminded to be good classmates and spread kindness to their fellow students.
