Filipino Restaurant Chain Branches Into Suffolk With Farmingville Spot
Kabayan Grill opened in March on Portion Road, offering Filipino cuisine, a "grocery, bakery and turo-turo," or to-go ready-made food.

FARMINGVILLE, NY — A Queens-based Filipino restaurant chain has opened its first-ever Suffolk location in Farmingville. Kabayan Grill has four locations in Queens and one in East Meadow.
In March, the Farmingville outpost opened its doors at 1075 Portion Rd.
The Suffolk Kabayan Grill is more than just a sit-down restaurant.

"This is our biggest branch: It has 5000 square feet, it has a grocery, a 'Turo-turo Section,' nakery and sit-down dining," the business Facebook page explains.
Turo-turo means literally "point-point" in Tagalog, and is like a deli section of pre-made food customers can take to go.

The menu features Filipino dishes like pork belly dishes, pork BBQ, stewed goat, "sizzling" seafood platters and varieties of stir-fries.
