Man Killed In Suffolk Crash On Long Island Expressway
The Riverhead man lost control of his Jeep and crashed into the center median of the expressway, police say.
HOLTSVILLE, NY — A man was killed in a crash on the Long Island Expressway in Holtsville on Monday morning, Suffolk police said.
Matthew Pawlak, 45, of Riverhead, was driving a 2007 Jeep eastbound on the Long Island Expressway, between exits 62 and 63, when he lost control and crashed head-on into the center median at 2:34 a.m., police said.
Pawlak was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
