Sachem Alumni Notebook

Here's some highlights from Sachem alums:

*Kathryn Rivera, a Sachem North alum from 2011 and a freshman at Adelphi, is a member of the women's bowling team in college and participated in her first USBC Intercollegiate Singles Qualifier in Allentown, PA last week. She finished in eighth place, eight pins shy and narrowly missing the cut for the USBC Intercollegiate Singles Championship, which takes the top four finishers from each of four sectionals.

She averaged 203.17 over six games with a total pinfall of 1,219.  The Adelphi University Panthers also just missed the cut, finishing in 5th place in USBC Intercollegiate Qualifying Sectionals. Only the top 4 teams advance to the championship in Lincoln, Nebraska

Jennifer Vreeland, a Sachem North alum from 2008, and a senior at St. Francis College placed 12th. Jenn averaged 199.83 over six games with a total pinfall of 1199.

*Sachem East alum Jeremy Milito, a freshman, qualified for the national singles championships next month. He was fourth in the men's tournament and bowled a 1,340.
