  1. Flights continued to be canceled on Monday due to omicron-related staffing shortages. American Airlines joined United Airlines, Delta and JetBlue in having to cut flights this week but so far no MacArthur Airport flights have been cancelled. (News 12)
  2. The Wading River family whose first baby, Ruby June Cotter, received a heart transplant for Christmas two years ago is hoping their second child will also get a new heart. Everett will turn a year old on Thursday. (Patch)
  3. A West Sayville oyster hatchery, Hart Lobsters, is switching to kelp growing, to generate revenue and hopefully help clean up the Great South Bay. (Subscription: Newsday)
