Sachem East to House Brookhaven Evacuees
County sets up school in preparation of Hurricane Irene.
Sachem High School East will be used as an evacuation facility for residents in the Town of Brookhaven in response to the pending Hurricane Irene.
Shelters are scheduled to open Saturday, August 27 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. and later on from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Eastport-South Manor High School is the other Brookhaven area facility being used.
