The grant will fund the construction of two baseball fields and a playground.

Sen. John Flanagan (R-East Northport) has awarded the Town of Brookhaven a $1 million grant for construction at the Selden Park Complex.
The grant will help fund phase 3 of the park construction, which includes the construction of two baseball fields and a playground.
“I thank Senator Flanagan, who has always been helpful in my council district, for coming through time after time to support the community," Councilman Kevin LaValle said. "This park has been a real joint effort by the Town, State and the Suffolk County Legislature, with Legislator Tom Muratore leading the charge and when the work is complete, it will be one of the premier recreation facilities in all of Brookhaven Town. I thank everyone who had a hand in moving it along.”
