Topgolf Facility Planned For Holtsville

The Brookhaven Town Board has approved a Topgolf facility for Holtsville, but the plan has drawn the ire of some residents.

The $25 million, three-story facility, which still needs planning board approval, would be west of Nichols Road off the Long Island Expressway service ramp.

Topgolf facilities have a driving range, entertainment area and restaurants—and residents say the range nets would be 160 feet over their homes.

The Town of Brookhaven said the facility could bring around 500 jobs to the area.
