Wenonah Elementary School in the Sachem Central School District participated in Start With Hello Week from Sept. 19-23. The week is a nationwide call to action that encourages students to make new social connections and create a sense of belonging.

Wenonah students participated in a number of activities to enforce a culture of caring. They created a “helping hands” tree that was displayed in the school’s lobby and wore green on Sept. 23 to demonstrate unity.
