BOHEMIA, NY—There are signs of revitalization at Bohemia's Sayville Plaza, which suffered a series of store closures including former anchor Kmart over the last two years. Floor & Decor is open for businessthis week. The home supply warehouse store is the first of several new retailers who've signed leases at the Sunrise Highway shopping center to open.

Floor & Decor will be joined at the shopping center by Aldi and At Home, a home decor chain that's new to Long Island.

On Friday morning, a steady stream of car traffic and customers was seen at the new store, which caters to both homeowners and professional contractors. The scene was a marked difference from the quiet emptiness left when the 110,000 square feet of the closed Kmart was empty.
