5 Local Events to Hit This Weekend
A little league opening day parade, wine tasting and benefit concert for ALS all taking place this weekend.

Starting at the H. Lee Dennison Building at 8 a.m. on Saturday is the Hauppauge Little League Opening Day Parade. Parade leaders will be Islip Town Supervisor Tom Croci, New York State Assemblyman Mike Fitzpatrick (R- St. James), and Suffolk County Legislator John Kennedy (R– Nesconset). The Hauppauge Fire Department and Hauppauge Xtreme DJ will also be participating in the activities.
From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. you could sample new wines in a relaxed, casual atmosphere and get discounts on featured items.
There's free sampling every weekend at the supermarket, as well as a live Italian singer every Sunday afternoon while you eat and shop.

Want to take a tour of Nissequogue River State Park? How about a tour on a horse and wagon? You could do so Saturday at 9 a.m. Admission is $25.
The Irish pub will be hosting a concert Saturday starting at 4 p.m. to benefit the Columbia University ALS Gift Fund. Tickets are $20.
