6 New Businesses Opening In Smith Haven Mall

A ramen shop already opened, and other stores, including Korean BBQ, a Stony Brook Medicine outpatient facility, and tacos, are coming.

LAKE GROVE, NY — A new business has joined Smith Haven Mall, and five others are set to open at the Lake Grove development soon, according to a news release.

Yume Ramen recently opened in the mall's food court. It is owned by Kai Wang, who spent years training at Michelin Star restaurant Jeju Noodle Bar in New York and renowned restaurant Momofuku. Wang set out to bring the flavors and and culture of Japan to Smith Haven Mall through fresh bowls of ramen and cakes.

Three other eateries are on the way, according to the release.

  • Mito Asian Fusion: Opening in early 2023 next to Ruth’s Chris, the Japanese restaurant offers creative sushi, entertaining hibachi, and quality Japanese cuisine.
  • KPOT Korean BBQ: Visitors can enjoy a hands-on, all-you-can-eat experience that merges traditional Asian hot pot with Korean BBQ flavors. The restaurant is scheduled to open later this year across from Verizon.
  • Los Amigos Tacos: Bringing a little piece of Mexico with its delicious tacos served on freshly handmade tortillas, Los Amigos Tacos is scheduled to open in April in the Food Court.

The Stony Brook Medicine Outpatient Facility is slated to open later this year at the end of the North Wing. The state-of-the-art facility will offer enhanced patient convenience and integration of clinical services, including adult and children’s primary and specialty care and community amenities, like patient education spaces, support groups, and public events.

GNC Live Well is also coming to the mall. The nutritional supplement retailer provides shoppers with innovative health solutions and high-quality products.
