  1. Suspect sought in Smithtown business burglary. Police have released pictures of a man wanted for burglarizing a Smithtown business. According to police, the man used a cement block to break the glass front door of a soccer academy on Jericho Turnpike last month. Police said he stole merchandise and a register containing cash before taking off. Anyone who knows the man’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 1-800-220-TIPS. (News 12 Bronx)
  2. The Nesconset Chamber of Commerce and Jennifer O'Brien of State Farm present Halloween Pet Parade at the Nesconset Gazebo. Bring your children dressed in their best costumes; pets included, $5 to enter your pet. All proceeds benefit the Smithtown Children's Foundation. Saturday, Oct. 30. (smithtownmatters.com)
