Parenting Class
St. James Lutheran Church will be starting up a parenting class on Mondays, from 9:30 a.m. - noon, for parents of children age 10. Class will run through Nov. 4 and cost $20. Babysitting is provided.Â
Smithtown Adult Writer's Group
Serious about writing or have a book you are working on? Join the Smithtown Library's Adult Writer group at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Main Branch. Bring a few samples of your work to share and discuss with others who will critique and support you.Â
School-Business Partnership's 4th Golf Outing
School-Business Partnerships of Long Island, Inc. will host its 4th Annual SBPLI Golf Outing on Oct. 2 benefiting the Long Island FIRST robotics  at Stonebridge Golf Links & Country Club, located at 2000 Raynors Way in Smithtown. This year’s honoree will be Mark Lesko, Executive Director, Accelerate Long Island.
Employment Open House
Developmental Disabilities Institute of Smithtown will be hosting an employment Open House on Wednesday, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Both full-time and part-time positions available.Â
Smithtown Planning Board
Town of Smithtown's Planning Board will host its first meeting of October  at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Eugene Cannataro Senior Citizen Center on Middle Country Road. Stay tuned to Patch this week to find out what's on the agenda.Â
