  1. Police reported one dead in a vehicle crash on Sunken Meadow Parkway in Commack. The incident happened at Exit SM2 on Tuesday night. The accident involved a car and a motorcycle. Unfortunately, the motorcyclist died due to severe injuries. (News 12 Long Island)
  2. Save the Date for the Park! This event will help raise funds to support the maintenance of the 911 responders' Remembered Park. There will be dinner, concert, treats, and more at the Hoyt Farm in Commack on Aug. 17 from 5-9 p.m. All the details of this family outing can be found at Smithtownchamber.com.   3. Police confirmed the death of a 14-month-old toddler left unattended in a hot car for eight hours. According to police, the grandma forgot to drop the baby at day care and left for work.
