  1. Comiskey Park in St. James is the place to go on Aug. 5 to support the Stony Brook Cancer Center while enjoying live music, games, food, and other outdoor attractions! All proceeds of the festival will go towards the center and patients who are under breast cancer treatment. The fun for a good cause starts at noon and goes through 1o p.m. featuring plenty of entertainment for the community. That's a pet-friendly event as well.   2. This weekend all can head to Hoyt Farm in Commack to enjoy the Concert Series. Local band, Rock of the 80s will hit the stage to play the best rock hits that will swing the crowd away. The event is free attendance and begins at 7 p.m. (Smithtown. Gov.)
  3. A vehicle caught fire in a three-car collision on Commack Road. The accident happened on Thursday around 11:30 p.m. near Imperial Gate. Police confirmed that no one was injured. (Patch)
  4. A GoFundMe page has been set up to support the funeral costs of the toddler baby girl who passed away after being left in a hot car for eight hours in Smithtown.
