GreenDrop Opens Donation Center At Smith Haven Mall

People can drop off gently-used clothing and household items at the donation center.

LAKE GROVE, NY — GreenDrop celebrated the grand opening of its new donation center in the Smith Haven Mall parking lot last week, according to a news release.

People will be able to drop off gently-used clothing and household items at GreenDrop's donation center. Donors will be greeted by an attendant who will collect the items on behalf of a nonprofit organization partnered with GreenDrop. On Long Island, all donations are converted into critical funds benefiting GreenDrop’s local nonprofit partner, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island Donation Center, Inc.

GreenDrop is a for-profit professional fundraiser that accepts secondhand clothing and household goods on behalf of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island Donation Center, Inc. whose mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. GreenDrop pays them for residents' donations, helping them fund programs in local communities.
