- Lacrosse coach Jason Lambert has served the community for two decades and is now ready for the next chapter as the new Smithtown Central School District Athletic Director. Lambert was nominated by Newsday as the coach of the year in 2014 and has been working with school athletes at the Tackan Elementary School and Great Hollow Middle School. (Smithtown Matters)
- Patch has the Smithtown Police Blotter, including police activity in the area between June 26 and July 3. One of the crimes occurred on June 27 on Cross Street when a Citibank account was hacked and $350K was stolen. (Patch)

- Mather Hospital will host six weeks of Smoking Cessation Class starting on July 21. The course will be held on Thursdays and features relaxation techniques and stress management tips to help those struggling with tobacco addiction.
