  1. Long Island Restaurant Week: Casa Rustica, Chop Shop Bar and Grill, H2O: Seafood & Sushi. See what else is available in our neighborhood. (Long Island Restaurant Week)
  2. Suffolk Legislator Spencer arraigned on 9-count indictment. The charges all stem from a 2019 indictment in which Spencer allegedly solicited a prostitute. Spencer was also arrested in 2020 in a sting with the Drug Enforcement Administration in which he allegedly sold oxycodone to an undercover agent. He is a medical doctor, but his attorney says he worked out a voluntary agreement not to practice until the case is resolved. (News 12 Brooklyn)
  3. Celebrating the Future of Nursing. The American Nursing Association predicts more registered nurse jobs will be available through 2022 than any other profession in the United States. Additionally, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that 11 million additional nurses are needed in the next few years to avoid a further nursing shortage – an issue that has surfaced even more during the 2020-21 Covid-19 pandemic.
