Man Barges Into Nesconset Home In Search Of Phone: Police

The man is wanted for criminal trespass after he entered the home and disregarded residents' requests for him to leave, police say.

NESCONSET, NY β€” Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help finding the man who, police said, entered a Nesconset home in July.

A man knocked on the door of a Nesconset home, pushed passed a resident who answered and then remained inside for approximately 10 minutes, around 7:45 p.m. July 31, police said. The man disregarded two residents’ requests for him to leave, police said. He stated he was looking for a cell phone and wasn't leaving without it, police said. He fled without the phone, driving away in a two-door gray Audi, police said. He is wanted for criminal trespass.

A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
