1. Smithtown Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Mia, a 3-year-old female pit mix, has a heartbreaking story. She was hit by a car. Fortunately, she ended up with only minor scrapes and fractures in her foot. Her previous owner could not afford medical treatments, so she was surrendered to the Shelter as a result. Despite her hardship, her goofy, affectionate, playful and loving personality shines through! (Smithtown Patch)
2. Smithtown HS West Team Wins Business Olympics. The "Gen Zillionaires" team of Carmella Piccininni, Abby Portela, Katie Magee and Sean Carroll from Smithtown High School West were chosen by a group of professional judges, and also by a separate vote from their student peers, as the winning group among the eight finalists. 3. Celebrate The Season With "A Christmas Carol" At Theatre Three. The holidays have arrived at Theatre Three in Port Jefferson with the 37th annual production of "A Christmas Carol." In the lobby, the garland is hung and the tree is trimmed and in the Mainstage theater the Victorian London set awaits the wonderful imagination of Charles Dickens and the beloved retelling of a classic tale of redemption.
