Meet The Teacher Nights, School Board Meeting this Week

A quick look at what's happening this week in Smithtown: Sept. 23 - 27.

Meet the Teacher Nights


Smithtown Central School District will be hosting various Meet the Teacher nights for elementary school parents throughout the week. Check the district's website for specific information based on building and grade. 

Parenting Class

St. James Lutheran Church will be starting up a parenting class on Mondays, from 9:30 a.m. - noon, for parents of children age 10. Class will run through Nov. 4 and cost $20. Babysitting is provided. 

Babysitting Skills Workshop

Smithtown Youth Bureau will be presenting a free 7-week course on Babysitting skills, presented by Lisa Belli, for students of Smithtown, Commack, Hauppauge and Kings Park school districts on Tuesday at 5 p.m. Register in advance. 

Smithtown Board of Education

Smithtown Board of Education will host its second September meeting at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the administrative offices on New York Avenue. Follow Patch this week to find out what's on the agenda. 

Ladies Night Out: Art on Canvas

Grab your girlfriends to enjoy a night of conversation and exploring your creative side at Abrakadoodle's Art Room in St. James. on Wednesday, 6 p.m. Cost is $40 per person, includes pizza and a soft drink. 

Smithtown Town Board

Smithtown town officials will host their second public meeting for September at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Eugene Cannataro Senior Citizen Center on Middle Country Road. Follow Patch to find out what's on the agenda later this week.
