2. Body found on shore in Nissequogue; police investigating. Suffolk County Police Homicide detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the body of a male that was found on the shore by a passerby at Stony Brook Harbor on Oct. 12 at approximately 6:40 p.m. (smithtownmatters.com)
3. Suspect nabbed after Smithtown bank robbery. A suspect has been charged after a midday bank robbery on Long Island earlier this month. Suspect will be held overnight at the Fourth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Wednesday, Oct. 13. (Northern Highlands Daily Voice)
