  1. Three paddleboarders were rescued on Crab Meadow Beach on Friday afternoon. Police responded to a call at 2 p.m. Officers found three women drifting away on Long Island sound. No injuries were reported. (Smithtown Matters)

The free workshops will navigate participants through the use of iPad, tablets, cellphones, email, and more. The first class is on July 15 at 11 a.m. in the Brush Barn at 211 Main St in Smithtown.
