Garage Fire Damages Home In Smithtown, 75 Firefighters Respond: Chief (patch.com) — A garage fire in Smithtown’s Hidden Ponds complex heavily damaged a home and drew about 75 volunteer firefighters, who kept the flames from spreading to neighboring condos. One resident was treated for minor burns as Smithtown fire crews, mutual aid departments, and investigators from Public Safety and Suffolk police handled the incident.
