- Attention Smithtown community: police have released pictures of the suspect who beat a delivery man in the neighborhood. Authorities say that the driver was approached by the suspect on Fourth Avenue while working and was then physically attacked. According to the police, the duo had a road rage dispute before the incident. (News 12 Long Island)
- A Bay Shore man was arrested for using pepper spray inside the Marshall store in Commack. Over 10 customers were injured in the incident on Tuesday night. Most of the victims were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. (Newsday/Subscription Required)
- Smithtown High School East played to honor the memory of student-athlete Diane Corey. The annual event is part of a scholarship created by the Smithtown School District. Corey is described as a fantastic athlete and is deeply missed by friends and family. (Smithtown Patch)
- The Smithtown Library -Nesconset Branch is hosting an All-Abilities Bingo Night on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 6 p.m. This program is a non-competitive event to socialize young adults with sensory issues, autism spectrum, and other needs. (Smithtown Library)
