  1. A severe physical assault took place at Millers Pond in Smithtown. A 24-year-old man was sitting in his car waiting for a woman he met on social media when four men approached him with a gun. The victim was assaulted and stabbed. Police are asking for the public's help to identify the aggressors. Read the whole story here. (Smithtown Matters)
  2. Have you heard about the Community Coffee Hour at St. James Episcopal Church? This event happens every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon. All are welcome to join neighbors for great conversation, coffee, plus treats. The church is at 490 North Country Road (25A) in St. James. (Smithtown Patch)
  3. Game night is on Thursday, Aug. 31, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Smithtown Library. All are welcome to bring friends and family and their favorite game boards. The library will also offer games. No registration is required. (SmithLib)

  • The Smithtown Historical Society is hosting its Annual Heritage Country Fair in September! This unique event promises to fill the neighborhood with the magic of history, live music, and many other attractions that will undoubtedly enrich the community.
