  1. Smithtown Horizons Counseling Center is hosting a free event for the community on Sept. 8. All ages are invited to celebrate Recovery Month with fun activities for the family at the Branch Plaza (LA Fitness Shopping Center) from 4 to 7 p.m. (Smithtown Gov.)
  2. Long Beach Concert Series is this coming Friday, Aug. 11, with the Radio Flashback on the stage! The music starts playing at 7 p.m. at Long Beach Road in Nissequogue. (Smithtown Gov.)
  3. Smithtown Robotics and SCOPE hosted a summer program for the first time! About 50 students signed up for the enrichment program that taught the basics of robotics engineering. Read the whole story here. (Smithtown Patch)
  4. Attention runners in the Smithtown township, the Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps is set to host its annual 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, Aug. 12!
