Lax Standout Signs Letter of Intent with Sacred Heart

West's Alex Dodge has post-high school plans set, taking his game to Sacred Heart University.

West lacrosse standout Alex Dodge signed a letter of intent with Sacred Heart University this week, according to a laxlessons.com report.

According to the report, pleasant visits to the Connecticut school and it's commitment to education led the 5-foot 9-inch, 165-pound senior midfielder to sign.

"[Sacred Heart] coach [Tom] Mariano, the assistant coaches and players really made me feel a part of the team during my visits," Dodge told laxlessons.com. "The coaching staff stayed in touch with me and made me feel they really wanted me last year when I missed the season due to an injury. The size of Sacred Heart and its academics also appeals to me."
