  1. Bay Constables rescue man clinging to marker in Nissequogue River. Smithtown Department of Public Safety Communications Division received word of a man overboard, clinging to a channel marker in the Nissequogue River in front of the Kings Park Bluff Town Boat Ramp. They located the victim in the water, clinging to a channel marker, and relayed the information to responding units until the victim lost grip of the buoy and was swept out of camera view!   2. Long Island video-gaming casino deal under fire. Governor Kathy Hochul has close ties to Delaware North, the company Suffolk Off-Track Betting bought Jake's 58 Hotel and Casino from. (New York Post )
  3. Artist John Taylor to be featured at Apple Bank of Smithtown. Smithtown Township Arts Council has announced in a press release that the works of Commack artist John Taylor will be on view from October 25 - December 16 at Apple Bank of Smithtown, 91 Route 111, Smithtown. (tbrnewsmedia.com)
