- Mark on your calendars for the 45th Annual Kings Park Day Town Fair on June 17. The community will offer lots of outdoor fun and entertainment from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Main Street. The event also features over 250 crafts, gifts and food vendors. (Smithtown Matters)
- The town of Smithtown's hazard household waste event on April 22 was a success. The town reported that more than 22 tons of waste were collected on that day. However, residents can still dispose of electronic waste at the town recycling center anytime. It is at 85 Old Northport Road. Whoever stops by to recycle is welcome to get a free load of mulch. For more information, visit here. (Smithtown Matters)
- Smithtown will get "greener" this month. National Arbor Day is celebrated on April 28 and the town will plant 200 trees in the neighborhood. Green foliage is essential to help to keep the air pure and produce oxygen, not to mention the importance of giving the example of preserving the environment to future generations. (Smithtown Patch)
