Shelter Pet of the Week: Mellow Callie
The Smithtown Animal Shelter has dozens of cats and dogs in need of a loving home.
Callie is a four-year-old pitbull/cattle dog mix is who up for adoption at the Smithtown Animal Shelter. She is up-to-date on all her vaccines and is spayed.
The shelter's staff says Callie has a sweet and mellow personality, loving to go on long walks with volunteers and being around people. However, she prefers to be the only dog in a house.

The Smithtown Animal Shelter is open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Sundays, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Those interested in adopting can meet the animals. Donations are greatly appreciated.
