  1. A proposal to change the Smithtown code may stop plans to build assisted living buildings in residential areas in the neighborhood. The changes were proposed due to an application for a new facility at Bull Run Farm in St. James. (Newsday)
  2. The Smithtown Police Blotter reports two grand thefts in the area between March 26-April 1. Money has been stolen from the Lovisa Jewelry store inside the Smith Haven Mall. Furthermore, a Cadillac XTS was also stolen from Woodland Lane in Smithtown. Police said the key fob was in the car during the incident. (Smithtown Patch)
  3. April brings awareness to help inform and alert the community about important social causes, including Autism and Animal Cruelty. In addition to that, April is also Stress Awareness Month.
