Smithtown East's Chandler Gives Nesaquake a Makeover
Freshman remodels school gym entrance as part of Eagle Scout project.
Smithtown High School East freshman Jacob Chandler recently completed his Eagle Scout project by remodeling Nesaquake Middle School in Smithtown.
Chandler made over the physical education entrance of the school by painting a mural on a large retaining wall and by expanding the existing flower bed with similar bushes and perennial flowers. He purchased a welcome sign and three 6-foot benches after holding a car wash fundraiser.
