Smithtown High School Students Visit Mets And Yankees
Students got a behind-the-scenes tour of Citi Field, a Q&A with Yankees executives, and tickets to a Yankees game.
SMITHTOWN, NY — Students in Patrick Rosa, Matthew Hennings and Stephen Costello's college sports management programs from both Smithtown High School East and West recently took part in a New York baseball experience.
The trip started in Flushing, Queens with an in-depth and behind-the-scenes tour of Citi Field, the home of the New York Mets. Students then hopped back on the bus to follow the path of the 7 & 4 subway lines, up to the Bronx where they participated in a networking and Q&A session with top Yankees executives in the DigaCore Conference Center.
After the panel, students were treated to field level seats at that evening's game against the Texas
Rangers. They also received concession vouchers, future NYY game ticket vouchers, and several of the students even found themselves up on the video scoreboard between innings.
