SAINT JAMES, NY — Trishna Desai, a sophomore at Smithtown High School East, was part of the Suffolk Section XI All-Star bowling team, which captured a state title on March 15 in Syracuse, the Smithtown School District announced.

Desai averaged a 226 at the tournament, including a high game of 247.
