- Two Bank Accounts Opened After ID Theft. Identity theft (first-degree) was reported on Winslow Lane in Smithtown. Someone stole a woman's identity and opened two bank accounts. (Smithtown Patch)
- National Weather Service confirms a tornado struck East Islip. After the storm, the NWS confirmed a tornado had touched down in Woodmere in Nassau County, and just today they confirmed one formed in East Islip, too. (Greater Long Island)
- "White Christmas" opens at The John W. Engeman Theater in Northport. This family classic features beloved songs by Irving Berlin including "Blue Skies," "I Love A Piano," "How Deep Is The Ocean" and the perennial favorite, "White Christmas." "White Christmas" is an uplifting musical and a perfect way to spend holiday time with your loved ones. Performances run through Sunday, Jan. 2. (Broadway World)
