The Smithtown Library invites cardholders to participate in the Historic Crimes of Long Island Lecture Series on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 7 p.m. For those who enjoy local history, author Kerriann Flanagan Brosky will discuss various infamous crimes.   2. Nearby Events: A 'Base Ball on the Farm' will be held on Sept. 16 at Sherwood Jayne Farm in Setauket. The event is free admission and open for the public of all ages.
