Smithtown Massage Parlor Raided: 2 Women Arrested, Police Say
Both women were charged with unauthorized practice of a profession, a felony, police say.
SMITHTOWN, NY — Two women were arrested during a massage parlor raid in Smithtown on Friday, Suffolk police said.
Suffolk police and the Town of Smithtown Fire Marshal investigated Ruby Spa, located at 73 Smithtown Boulevard, around 6 p.m. following community complaints, police said.
Lina Yang, 43, of Syosset, was charged with unauthorized practice of a profession (a felony), second-degree criminal nuisance, and prostitution.

Shuqin Zhao, 51, of Lake Ronkonkoma, was charged with unauthorized practice of a profession.
The Town of Smithtown Fire Marshal issued multiple violations to the business and deemed the location unsafe for occupancy, police said.

Yang and Zhao were both issued desk appearance tickets and are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
